I have an 81 camaro. Does he heater core come out from under the dash or from under the hood?

In the 81 it is a real pain in the neck! It comes out from the inside of the car. You have to undo the heater hoses from the engine side and then pull it out from inside the passenger compartment.

There was a post about a two months ago concerning this. Granted, it was a 1st generation but, everyone seemed to agree that you could go from under the dash.

I just reassembled my 2nd gen and It comes out from inside the car good luck on the hose clamps they can be a bear. Also, dont overtighten the new ones you can crush the tubes.
