Engine cranks fast but takes a while to start. After it starts I can shut it off and it will start right up. Get gas and come back out starts okay. Go into restaruant to eat, come back out , takes a while to start. New plugs, wires, coolant temp sensor, starter, and fuel filter.
Fuel pump and relay, tps sensor, mass airflow sensor, bat voltage, and alternator are all okay. 89 iroc runs great. Any idea what makes it hard to start?

You should put a fuel pressure gauge on it and make sure when the engine is turned off after running that the fuel pressure holds for awhile. It should not drop very much after you turn it off.If it does drop right away then pinch off fuel return line after you turn off engine and see if pressure now holds. If it does then your pressure regulator is bad. If the pressure still drops fast then pinch off fuel line from pump.If it now holds your pump has a bad check valve in it.If pressure still drops after pinching off both lines then there is a leaking fuel injector.

Try adjusting the timing. You may need to retard the timing a little. It could be a vaccum problem with your vacuum advance carbuerator. Hey man I have a 91' RS it is a mechanical advance and is very cold blooded.
