89' camaro rs 2.8L

lately, when it's cold, when i start my car the idle speed goes up and down until the car warmsup. i had heard the mass air flow sensor could cause this so i replaced it but it still does the same thing. there are no error codes and if i want i can just drive away when its doing it with no problem. any ideas?

thanks all

Sounds a like dirty/carboned up throttle and/or IAC pintle.

iac-idle air control valve

it is on the throttle body and lets air in just like the throttle to adjust idle speed

it is a cone shaped valve that moves in and out in a hole to let inair

it has electrically controlled solenoid to move it in and out-controlled by computer

try removing it and cleaning the cone shaped part (pintle) and the hole in the throttle body with a rag and carb cleaner
