Wiper knob.

Hi all,

I would like to know if your wiper knob gets warm to hot when using the wipers? I had the car out today and it has been raining all week. Not to bad today so I took her out for about 45 mins. to an hour. When I got back and shut off the wipers I noticed the knob was very warm, almost hot. Is that the wiper motor or do I have another issue? Please give me your thoughts. Also, my wipers move fairly slow when in use and the windshield wiper fluid barely gets on the windshield when I try to clean the windshield (weak stream). Any thoughts.

Thank you,

Re: Wiper knob.

The switch body provides a ground for completing the circuit in making the functions work as selected.
It may have to be removed and both the switch and back side of dash may need cleaning/sanding with emery paper.

Re: Wiper knob.

The switch shouldn't get hot.
