Pretty sure it is intentional on the part of the site owners. Goal is to generate revenue....

Re: POP-up ads???

Well, I just downloaded Opera and so far so good. You DO have to go into the settings and check the boxes that say "Block ads and surf the web up to three times faster", but "EasyList" and "NoCoin" are already checked. I went ahead and also checked the box that says "EasyPrivacy" just cuz!

Let's see what happens as time goes on.

Re: POP-up ads???

I changed nothing. Had 1 pop up at startup and 2 within about an hr. Haven't noticed any for a while but I haven't been cruising the site either although I was logged in most of the day.

Re: POP-up ads???

Again it is not Team Camaro, it is Google Services. It is on almost every website using either Google ads or Amazon ads because its Prime day. Once the new items are done releasing on the schedule the advertising blitz should subside.

Re: POP-up ads???

Notwithstanding the technical facts (thanks however for the explanation), a premium service membership means NO ADS, NO POPUPS, ever. In addition to supporting the site, this was one of the prime reasons I paid for the premium lifetime membership - no ads. Perhaps the site should not have moved to the cloud if it means we have to be monitored by the likes of Google et.al. and force fed their damned advertising.
