Question Oil from valve cover bolt hole??

Been fighting an oil leak on my new Camaro, decided to try the obvious things first, replaced the valve covers yesterday. Noticed on a couple of the bolt holes, there appeared to be oil in the the threads? In other words, when I tightened them down, oil came up around the outside of them? It wasn't a huge amount, just enough to get me concerned. I'm pretty sure there is a small oil leak at the front/bottom of the intake manifold also, I was told these Air Gaps are notorious for not sealing on the first try! Could these two issues be related? I also noticed oil coming out from one of my spark plugs, but could not even get a socket on it to tighten it up (Friggin' Hookers, another long story.......) Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
