transmission.......

i've got a t5 tranny and when the clutch is ingauged it chatters very bad. it started out chattering a little and got worse and now when the clutch is pushed to the floor the car keeps movin enough so i cant stop. the clutch dont slip. i just bought the car and i'm bettin someone put a new clutch and plate in and never tightened the preassure plate bolts up properly and is most likely gonna let go. thats just me. what do u guys think......its not the slave cylinder.

A throw-out bearing will make a racket that changes when you depress the clutch. I can't recall if it chatters more when the clutch is depressed or released. If the car keeps moving, I'd stop driving it right away. Otherwise, you'll heat damage the surface of the flywheel and it will need to be turned or replaced, not to mention burning up what is left of the clutch.
