Oil in my intake manifold

Today i took off my throttle body and found oil in my manifold , would anyone happen to know what might have caused this? Thanks in advance

Re: Oil in my intake manifold

not real familar with that motor, but on any "V" motor, loose or improperly sealed intake bolts are 99% of the time the culprit. you'll have puddles in the pockets below the bolts.
might try tightening them first, but don't go overboard.

edit: whoops, just re read and see you might mean inside the intake. if its above the valves, its pretty much got to be coming in via the pcv system. how much is in it? if its just a film its probably normal, clean and go. my mustang (5 liter) is notorious for that, normal use allows oil to build up in the intake.

Re: Oil in my intake manifold

Yeah , inside the intake is where i was talking about. There was a little puddle sitting there right where the throttle body hooks up to the intake and i was looking at it today and i think its actually coming from the valve cover with out the pcv valve. Thanks for the reply.
