possible security system problem?

I have a 1996 R/S camaro and I was having what I thought was some security issues , the alarm was coming on when I opened the door and several other things. The battery went dead a few times so I replaced the battery and now the "service engine soon" light comes on randomly and most recently the APS INOP light comes on too until I turn off the engine. The CD player also is messed up, when I start the car it makes a sound like it is trying to eject a CD, (theres none in the player) and after a little bit, an "error" meesage appears on the radio screen. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Re: possible security system problem?

System voltage may be too high. Check across battery posts with engine running and should be no more than 14.8 volts.

Sears or Advance Auto will do an electrical test for free. Internal voltage regulator may be going out.
