Exclamation 93 Camaro Wipers Go REEEAALLY slow, any ideas?

Has anyone else experienced this problem?:

Lately when I turn on my wipers they respond very slowly as if very weak and now today they pretty stopped entirely. If I leave them on they will occasionally jolt a little bit, same thing happens if I turn them OFF. Very strange. Think it's the motor? The switch? a wire short? Anyone else had this?

Update: I turned on my car again yesterday and the wipers returned to their normal down position. However, the wipers still move very slowly, I'm thinking maybe it's the switch. Does that sound right?

Use a multimeter ( can get one under $10 ..WalMart, Harbor Tools, etc ) to measure volts at wiper motor connection ... If you are getting 12 volts ( with key on ) or more ( with engine running ), then chances are that the wiper motor is the culprit. If you are getting lesser volts, or even intermittent voltage, then the switch is probable .

gm trucks around the same years had problems with the wiper controler (its inside the wiper housing but not part of the motor) and the camaro might have had similar problems

Ok, I'm guessing it might be the wiper housing. I've been able to turn the wipers on recently, but they still move pretty slow. Is it a short or a faulty connection at the controller? Also, what's the best way to get at the wiper assembly to do this repair? Under the dash, or under the hood?
