rough engine idle

ok so far ive changed all 6 spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, oil and oil filter, pcv valve... and i still have a rough idle'ing engine.

what are my other options?

Budd, What kind of car and motor do you have? Put some more info in to help you better.

with little information it is hard to tell, but my guess.......egr valve?

69 x-11..LS1, 420.88 horse to the tires,750 Holley Ultra DP, Torquer V2, darksides headers, PRC heads, 10.8:1 compression, forged bottom end, 5 speed. 2008 King Ranch F150 4x4.

Forgot to change muffler bearing grease.

You may have a dead cylinder due to bad rings, burnt valve, worn cam lobe, stuck valve lifter, worn/cracked vacuum hose, carbon-tracked distributor cap, carbon-tracked rotor, broken intake gasket, worn cam lobe in distributor, if points system, the list is endless.

Year, make, model, please.......I'm betting a late model V6 of the 2.8L family.

Look at all the small things first, like tune-up items and vacuum hoses......

sorry. i drive a 2000 v6 3.8l camaro.


how much is it to replace an entire cylinder? #5 was the only one sayig "misfire" i fixed the stalling now its just rough idle.

oh by the way. i already changed the egr valve. and i just put a new flowmaster 80 series. but..... the guy who put on the flowmaster noticed i had leaky oil and he mentioned "gaskets" or something
