LT-1 troubles

I have a '94 LT-1 that will sometimes quit for no reason like it's running out of fuel or has no spark. It will start fine if it's been sitting a while, but when you drive it for some time it will die going down the road and sometimes not start if it's hot. I put a dynatech distributor on it and seems like it started after that, but not sure because I don't drive it much. Any help or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Re: LT-1 troubles

A friend of mine just had a similar problem except his started to run bad after running awhile. It ended up being his fuel pump. Would start sometimes after letting it sit, but once he stopped it and turned off, it would not restart. His was a 97 LT1. I would invest in a pressure gauge and check your fuel pressure.

auxillary power cable that goes to the fuse box in the engine compartment. The post the extra positive runs to . . .
The bolt gets corroded ( replacement bolt is brass instead of steel).
replace the bolt. No more problem. Check it out. You most likely have an intermittent loss of power to that box.
That is what happened on my LT-1 caprice. My uncle could never figure it out. I bought the car from him . . . I fixed the problem . . . no problem for 5 years.
Good luck.
