It's really not a good idea to suggest that someone who types in all caps put a metal object to thier head and stick it in around moving parts..... Then on the other hand....

Re: Horrible Noise, Plz Help

you can also use a piece of tubing like a doctor's stethoscope to help locate the noise

Re: Horrible Noise, Plz Help

Or, you can actually go buy a "mechanic's stethoscope" which will help immensely, heheh................

Noises in metal can be difficult to locate, as any surrounding metal objects will conduct the noise very nicely. So it's often difficult (but not impossible) to specifically locate the source of the noise.

Re: Horrible Noise, Plz Help

Or you can try this......remove the Serpentine belt and spin each individual pulley to check for noise or anything indicating the pulley might be bad. A wobble in the pulley is a good indicator that it is bad.

67 RS Camaro 327/ 350 Holley 650cfm > Edelbrock Performer Intake > Pertronix Ignition > Accel Super Stock Coil and Wires > Hedman Hedders > Hotchkis Performance Springs > 15" Rallys all around
