testing ignition box

i have an older truck that is rarely used or started, wanted to move it the other day and it would not start.
there is plenty of fuel, battery is about 50%(but turns over fine),but i am not getting any spark on the coil wire. there is a mallory ignition in this truck
(HyFire 6A model s/n6830). is there any way to test the box to see if it's still working? what would cause such a problem? any thoughts or suggestions are fully appreciated.
