Who knows, Kurt S. will know for sure...In Camaro world it is possible. Good eye on this one...

Its not a SS, so original 6 cylinder changed to a Clone 327 L30?

Re: 1234 vin?

Yeah I can't remember the last vehicle, let alone a Camaro in any shape I saw that was truly worth 90k, but hey he can dream.
Makes you wonder if he wasn't in such a hurry to sell it now, he could invest the time and serious cash its going to cost to turn this old gal around, and then sell it for 90k and whistle to the bank.

A lost title replacement is not the end of the world here in New England for the current owner, don't know how much research is done in the West but here if the state has record of you as last title holder, and no liens, then issuing the replacement is no issue. Otherwise it is very difficult with the paperwork proof you have to come up with, and the the time it takes for the state to investigate before DMV will issue a title if they do at all.

That said given the condition, IMHO someone will snap it up cheap since it is a no reserve auction.

Things are well

Brian

Re: 1234 vin?

But how does anyone explain the VIN being 12347? The photo verifies this VIN? Is it from another car?

I can envision all kinds of trouble if a VIN inspection is needed to get a title for this car. That is why I asked for expert opinions (not on grammar and spelling )...

Re: 1234 vin?

"ENGINE IS A RARE 302 CHEVY CASTING DATE 1969, USED ONLY IS Z28 AND SS. I NEVER CHECKED THE NUMBERS CAUSE I THOUGHT I BELIEVED THE ENGINE WAS A 327. 302 ENGINE AS FOLLOWS, SEE PIC # 3932386 HOWEVER I DO KNOW THE MOTOR HAS NEVER BEEN CHANGED OR REBUILT. MOTOR ALONE IS 6,000$"

this get better as the seller makes more stuff up. apparently the factory came back and installed a Z28 engine a year after the car built. must have been one of those special order deals. at least his friends dad was smart enough to get rid of the 4 bbl so he didn't speed in it...

Re: 1234 vin?

I spoke with him and he agreed that the engine was a 350 not a 302. I have never seen a Camaro VIN from 1968 start with 12347. How is this possible?

On a serious not I have read of this happening once in a blue moon on mopars, fords, Pontiac, and chevys back in the late 60’s and early 70’s of them actually making a mistake when they made the vin tag. Technically a true typeo!!!
