Question Replacing stock UCA's with Global West

I have a 68 Camaro with a BBC 555 (Dart block). I had to dimple my header on the passenger side (when the new engine and headers were installed) and am curious if anyone knows if I should be concerned from a heat issue (bushings) if I go with the Global West UCA's. The stock UCA is pretty close to the header.

Wanted to make sure before I dropped the coin.
Thanks in advance,

Eric

Bill,

I am calling them on Monday. My digital is on the blink so I may borrow one to post pictures later today.

Thanks

I would be concerned with the passenger side. At the very least find some turbo shielding for it.

Check my web page for First Gen Camaro suspension info:

Dave,

Thanks,

Not familiar with turbo shield, is it the same as exhaust wrap? Any other options or am I destined for the stock UCA's?

I coulda sworn I posted this for you last week... maybe it was someone else?

Try Mark at SC&C. He's a member here, website is scandc.com.

He sells a stock car type (roundy round, ya know?) adjustable upper arm from SPC. Nice stuff, I love mine. They use a metal bushing, very small diameter, impervious to heat.

Jim,

Thanks, I'll call him today. It wasn't me and I guessed I missed it when I was searching (lots of threads on UCA's!).

Thanks again for the help!

Another vote for SC&C. Also you don't need shims so you pick up clearance.

Re: Replacing stock UCA's with Global West

Just talked to Mark (great guy BTW) at SC&C and ordered the Street Comp. Stage II. Should have them in about 2 weeks.

Thanks everyone for their help!
