Re: power steering hose leak

Teflon tape won't help a flare fitting - they don't seal at the threads. They seal at the flare and cone. The nut simply provides clamping force. It sounds like you need to tighten the fittings. Sometimes on a flare it helps to tighten it and back it off and then retighten a couple of times. I'd also recommend using a crow's foot to get at those fittings - it's hard to get a regular tubing wrench in there and get enough leverage to get them tight. I'm assuming it's the fittings on the steering box that are leaking.

Re: power steering hose leak

Make sure to use a back up wrench.

You may have to replace the fittings. If they seep, there may be tiny cracks or a small gall.
I used hard line every where I could and that helped a lot.
