Original rally wheels and disk brakes

I am running the original rally wheels on my car that did not work with the original disks that were offered with the car. Will the newer after market kits fit under these rims?

Are you asking about the 14" SS wheels ? Or the 15" ralleye wheels ?
The 15" should be fine with stock discs and I've even heard some people using the 14's ! (Not sure, how)

Also this post is talking about the same thing. https://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=108063

Re: Original rally wheels and disk brakes

I ran 14 x 7 rallys with factory disc brakes without issue on my 69. That combination came on thousands of 69 SS Camaros. Unfortunately, I sold the wheels and didn't note the code. Not sure about 68's - didn't they use the 4 piston calipers? There could be a clearance problem with those calipers.

Re: Original rally wheels and disk brakes

Do the newer after market kits fit any better then the originals or do they all have the same fit issues?

There are too many aftermarket kits to generalize. Any Camaro in '69 could have come with front disc's and for conversation only the Z/28 came with 15" wheels. You shouldn't have a problem finding a 14" wheel front disc combo that works. From what the white book shows if you have a 14" rally wheel or a dog dish hubcap wheel, disc's should fit. Only the full hubcap wheels were not available with disc brake cars.
