You can a puller to remove the bearing, it is used on a slide hammer.
Alternate way is to pull out both axles, run a long pipe through the housing. Set the pipe against the backside of the bad bearing and knock the bearing out.
Most likely you will find the axle has a ditch wore in it where the bearing has been running on the axle. If this is so, and I'm sure it is, you will need a new axle. Do NOT use an axle saver bearing. I have yet to see one that doesn't seep or leak.
