Longer Front Studs for LS1 Brake Conversion?

I keep reading about longer studs but no one's ever posted the lenght they used. I think the ones I currently have on are too long. I'm trying to decide whether to cut them down to size or have new ones pressed in. Would be great if someone who's done this already could give me an estimated stud length.

Re: Longer Front Studs for LS1 Brake Conversion?

i used the stock studs with the C4 brakes on my Nova- they stuck out about 1/2" past where the lug nut seats into the wheel- which is good enough to pass NHRA tech.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?
