Brake Pads

I just bought a 67 with disc brakes, calipers were leaking so I purchased rebuilt ones, they look the same, now I can't get pads that will fit. Sent the cores back so I can't compare. It looks like the pads I'm getting are to long to fit inside the caliper. I've tried different brands. I understand there the same as 65 to 82 Vette.HELP

Re: Brake Pads

Herb -

Are the calipers on your car single piston or 4-piston? If a previous owner converted it, it is possible it has the 69 and up style single pistons calipers instead of the OE 67-68 4-piston units.

Re: Brake Pads

They are the 4 piston type, the two different sets of pads I have look to be to long to go inside the caliper. Calipers look like the ones I took off. I sent the cores back with the old pads in them so I don't have anything to compare. This is not my first brake job,but I can't figure it out. Must be the old age factor.

Thanks, Herb
