Re: how a raise my front end

Two inches higher than stock? Or two inches higher than slammed, saggy springs?

You will have to be a little more specific about "the new thing" like a lift kit...

Re: how a raise my front end

Also, has your car had an engine swap from a 6 cyl to a small block, or a small block to a big block?

Re: how a raise my front end

Can you post a picture of your car?

You can try a company called Detroit Eaton Spring, http://www.eatonsprings.com/
Talk to them, they will make you any spring you want.
Raising a car 2" is not common at all because Camaros were fairly tall from the factory.

My guess is that you have a backspacing problem not a height problem. If the backspacing on your rims was correct you should not have a problem with your tires rubbing. 15 inch rims were a factory option and as long as you do not have huge tires on them , they should not be a problem.

Re: how a raise my front end

Camaro9- i just have to ask.. is English your first language? i'm not trying to be mean, but i can't really figure out what you have and what you are trying to achieve.
are you having clearance issues due to larger tires, and just want to jack it up to get them to clear? if so, what wheels are you running- there are hundreds of different 15" wheel designs with different backspacing, and there are hundreds of different tires you could have on it ranging from skinny low profile tires to tall and wide 4X4 truck tires.
it might be as simple as getting different wheels and/or tires that actually fit the car.
if you just don't like the way it sits with the new wheels, then tell us exactly what you are trying to achieve (and show us with a couple of pics- everyone knows someone with a digital camera or cell phone with a camera).

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

Maybe the car has 2" drop spindles on it already??? We have to know where you are before we help you get where you want to go.

Re: how a raise my front end

Maybe he is going for the retro look
in the 60's they would ride high in the front end for a gasser look and back then it looked cool on a 55 or 63 Chevy or 67 Nova to compliment the huge rear tires.
But man I haven't seen that in a while

Smile Re: how a raise my front end

My car was always up in the air w/ my SB on my BB A/C coil springs, (after I wore out my stock, D-70 wide-oval redlines and switched back to a shorter tire than the old 29.5" tall M&S's I used to run in the winter time)! Better to match my great big old L-60/14's in the rear!

Sucker looked down-right muscular!!

And I made my suspension so stiff front and rear that I could darn near skip sideways turning a 90 degree corner by kicking her out sideways using the throttle! Rode like a lumber wagon until I was at SPEED and WAY ABOVE!! He, He..........

And I'm talking about WAY ABOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: how a raise my front end

If you really want to raise the front, you can add coil spring spacers to it. You may want to lower rear. You can add lowering blocks between the spring and the axle.
