Comp. Engineering frame rail kit???

I just bought a 1969 Camaro X11, nothing special, but the rear frame rails are rotten! I was wondering if anyone has tried the Competition Engineering formed frame rail kits part number 3031? It looks to be a nice piece, but I'm not sure if the front has the holes drilled in it for the spring perches? All I'm trying to do is get it on the road and make a nice driver. Thanks, Greg

These rails were designed for old time Super Stock racing and require a lot of cutting and fab. They were copied from original parts from SRD in Pa. The contours are not exactly like the stock floor.
Your best bet is to get repro rails and weld them in. The original rails are spot welded so I would clean the flanges ofthe original rails with a wire wheel and then use a spot weld drill bit to cut through the welds.
Not something for a beginner to try.
