Question Side E-Brake Handle?

Anyone convert their e-brake to the side pull type brake handle?

Re: Side E-Brake Handle?

I've used the Lokar e-brake handle, placed between the seats.

Re: Side E-Brake Handle?

Was a there a lot of fabrication that needed to be done?
How did you make it fit in the console?

Re: Side E-Brake Handle?

The Lokar won't work with a console, but it was an easy install.

Re: Side E-Brake Handle?

Thanks for the link Eric.
I might go with the 4th gen e-brake handle/actuator but I'd like to keep the original console. So unfortunately, that link did not provide me with any useful info.

Re: Side E-Brake Handle?

Yeah, I am looking for more. I can't recall ever seeing anyone use a tunnel mounted parking brake in a 1st gen console. Would you be giving up the storage compartment?

Re: Side E-Brake Handle?

The console is taken out of the car right now so I don't know for sure, but isn't the storage compartment a little too far back?
