rear shox recomendations please

Does anyone recommend a rear shok for my 69. lowered 2.5 in rear .
Im curious on the QA1s , would i use a coilover or just an adjustable gas ?
Need something firm so no rub form wide rims.

A name and part number would be great !

Re: rear shox recomendations please

I suppose you could convert the rear to coil-over but not sure if that's what your asking. I have a multi-leaf and used the QA1 adustable shocks in the rear. My tires are a tad wider than the fender well ridge and no rubbing issues but the fact that your's is lowered 2.5" makes me hesitant to say you'll be fine w/o rubbing. I do know that you can adjust these shocks very firm though so would imagine they would work as well to better than any other non-adjustable shock as far as stiffness goes. W/o much suspension movement though not sure you'll be incredibly happy with the ride quality but I think that's more a result of the limitaton of your wheels being out too far and being lowered at the same time. It may be good for people to know actually how much space do you have between tire and fender lip?
