Re: Do I need a new spindle?

I can hardly see it??

How loose does a bearing fit on it?? If not all that bad, you might divot it w/ a center punch, and very lightly polish it down smooth as you can get it to tighten it up so the bearing doesn't slop around.

If it does still slop around, I'd hunt up a good used one or buy a new re-pop one.

Re: Do I need a new spindle?

Right, pretty much what I thought. Are the spindles interchangeable, ie, the same spindle can be used on either side?

Is this what I'm looking for (it doesn't spesify if it's for the left or right side):

My car is a 67 with drum brakes.

Re: Do I need a new spindle?

I have what you're looking for. I just replaced my 1969 Camaro drum brakes over to disc and have 2 drum brake spindles. If you're interested, my e:mail address is [email protected].

Re: Do I need a new spindle?

Sorry, Casey, I think I've found one locally, that is if a -68 Nova (drum) spindle can be used on my car.

I'll let you know how it works out.
