jl8 and c-clip eliminator

Would c-clip eliminators interfere with jl8 rear discs on a 69 camaro 12 bolt rear end.

I am considering converting to jl8, but currently have a set of c-clip eliminators

thanks

Re: jl8 and c-clip eliminator

Can't answer you question specifically - but rear discs kinda eliminate the need for c-clip eliminators if your concern is the axle breaking and walking out.

i never thought of the disc keeping the axle in case it would break.

So if i understand correctly, when rear disc brakes are installed, the calipers will hold onto the differential the disc, axle, wheel and tire in case of an axle breaking and walking out

Re: jl8 and c-clip eliminator

The caliper will keep the rotor /axle in place but you will know about it quickly if axle moves. If you have a set of good aftermarket axles with C clip eliminators, there is not much that can break there. I mean a good set ..

I recently thought about Jl8 kits but went with after market setup from RightStuff thru Matts. There are other kits out there but most use the C clip. Nothing wrong with C clips and even less worry with some good axles that take C clips.
