Hotchkiss rear leaf cutting pads?

I have 41 year old multileafs on my 68 with the new 1.5" drop Hotchkiss leafs.

Do I have to cut these brand new pads 1/4" per side to fit? I have not doug into it yet since I don't have a tool to cut them.

Basically, the pads are a little bit too wide for whatever reason.

And I think you should have the tool for it, I used a razor blade/utility knife...

X2 - I had to cut mine when I installed the TVS kit on my 67 with original monos.
