Front coil springs

I just replaced my front coil springs. The old springs measured 16.5 inches high, the new ones measured the same height. My car sits right where the factory assy. manual says it should. I have a 1969 Camaro L65 package. I looked at the old springs that came out I know they were factory originals., I can not find any stamped numbers on them. Can any one tell me if the factory springs had stamp numbers on them?

Re: Front coil springs

x2 - don't think original springs were stamped with a part number. they had a tape mounted around a coil...

Re: Front coil springs

Thanks Folks, I wasn't sure if they were stamped or not. I knew I would get the right answer here. Thanks again
