I have original off mine if you are looking for one. I will measure diameter of mine tomorrow night when i come back from work. I have read that there are two sizes.

Re: Size of 69 RS front sway bar

Thx, but do not need a new one, well actually I'm ordering a front end rebuild kit and need to submit diameter of sway bar, and I do not have a micrometer. I think it is around an inch, but there are inch and an eighth, seven eighths, inch.

Stock was something like 11/16" and came on all 69 Camaros no matter the model.

Use an open end wrench, for a cheep, and quick, will be close for bushings.

use a pair of channel locks or vise grips as your micrometer. Then measure how far the jaws are open.

Thx. Just thought of that as well and just did that. I measure 1 1/8". Who needs fancy tools! Hammer, duct tape, adjustable wrench and we can fix the world!

Re: Size of 69 RS front sway bar

Then its not a stock swaybar. All 69 bars are 11/16" except for the ones on the COPOs ordered with 15" wheels. Those were 13/16".
