Brake Booster

Hey guys, so I got the front disc brake conversion kit from CPP and was wondering - my master cylinder right now has 2 bolts going to the firewall and my new brake booster has 4 bolts on the back and 2 on the front(for the new master cylinder). Am i gonna need to drill 2 more holes for the new brake booster to mount to the firewall or??

1969 350 - all manual drums - converting to power front disc/rear drum.

thanks!

Re: Brake Booster

Does your booster have an angled bracket attached to the back of it? The bracket should have 4 holes in it to accomodate the 4 studs that stick through the firewall. The 4 studs are mounted to the brake/clutch pedal bracket. My car is a '67.....maybe the '69's are different.

Re: Brake Booster

They all have 4 studs on the firewall. You use 2 when it's a master only, 4 when it's a booster.

Re: Brake Booster

Ok, great. I haven't got there yet, but Monday I will be putting in the master cylinder and brake booster. I was just hoping I didnt have to drill any holes.

your kit should have those brackets to mount booster. if you need pictures let me know. my kit came with them! and there are 2 more bolts under where you removed master cylinder bolts Jay

Re: Brake Booster

Let us know how it goes with installing the bottom left nut onto the stud. It's always a bear for me.
