Insert in new master cylinder

Just got my new conversion kit from Right Stuff and unpacked the master cylinder and it had an insert in the end of the piston. It is a black insert with an O ring towards the top. If i had to guess it is there to convert short bore to a long bore. Will i hurt the piston or bore if i push that insert in the bore past that Oring? I have both rods for my booster. Just looking to the experts for the best combination. Thanks Mike

Re: insert in new master cylinder

Nope, just choose one short and one long, and make sure the booster doesn't push the piston in a little when bolting it up.
