Want to lower my 67 stock

I don't like the stance of my mostly stock 67 Camaro. I am going to swap the brakes to the C5 disc and will document the progress there. But my car almost looks like the front end is higher then the rear. What is the best, read that easiest and most cost effective, way to go? I don't have money to burn, and am doing the work myself. I was thinking to get a lowering spring for the front, then do something in the rear too?

Where can I look for information, don't see a thread about this.

Thanks

Mike

Re: Want to lower my 67 stock

Depends on how low ya wanna go really.

Cheapest lowering method:

Cut front springs - google on how to cut front springs & Lowering blocks - google lowering blocks - around 50.00?

Detroit Speed Engineering rear leafsprings & front lowering coils - under 1k

Hotchkis TVS suspension package is lowering with performance minded feel - around 1500

Re: Want to lower my 67 stock

You might also check with Global West for lowering springs. I would recommend checking out the rest of the suspension before you order if you have not already. E.g. all the bushings, ball joints, rear shackles, etc. That stuff is not that expensive and you can replace it when you have things apart.

68 RS Coupe 355/350 TH, Detroit Speed, Hotchkis, Vintage Air, 8.5" 3.42 posi 10-bolt, MagnaFlow 2 1/2" exhaust, etc.

Re: Want to lower my 67 stock

most people will object to what i have to say but, put a lil heat to the coil springs to get the ride height where you want it and then when you get the money, you can pull them out and measure and buy a set of coils at the right ride height?..jmo

Shame on you, Bill. Your penance is to come over to my house and scrape the undercoating off of my car.
