Line Loc & Proportioning Install.... LOTS PICS

Hi All

Don't know if this is interest to anyone, but I am just about to install my new Booster and Master cylinder. So I thought I would install a Line Loc and a adjustable proportioning valve at the same time. The 68 is an Auto so Im running the Line Loc to the rear brakes , so it essentially when the switch is flicked the brake will only operate the front brakes. I wish brake lines were like the internet and were wireless so I have done my best to keep oll the line , valves etc as tidy and as compact as possible.

Here is the Hurst Line Loc

Adjustable Valve with integrated brake light switch

Here is the new Booster and Wilwood cylinder
[IMG][/IMG]

First I made a cardboard template to gauge what I can fir without running interference from the inner guard

Transfer basic shape to 6mm Aluminum
[IMG][/IMG]

Using a drill and a Jig saw I cut out the basic shape
[IMG][/IMG]

After a little work with the file I put it in the vice and bent the vale support
[IMG][/IMG]

Bolting up the units for a test fit before polishing the bracket
[IMG][/IMG]

The bracket is sanded with 400, 800,1200 1500 and then a quick polish with Autosol

Bolted together and starting to make the brake lines

Thanks, I ended up going with the 1" bore after recommendation from the brake specialist, I suppose time will tell if his calculations were correct, I can swap it out if I'm not happy, Thanks for the tip on the DOT-5 fluid, in New Zealand most if not all fluid is DOT-5 so would have probably put it, not knowing.
