Add power brake booster

What is required to convert to a power brake booster.. What part will crossover to a 68 camaro?.. Is the conversion straight forward?.. Does the power brake booster come with the pedal rod or will I need to fabricate something since im not sure the stock one will work.. Right now I have drums in the rear and 4 piston disk in the front... Any info would be appreciated

Thank you

Re: Add power brake booster

Give Matt's Classic Bowties a call and they can set you up. Don't know about the proportioning valve and master cylinder....you may need new ones. The booster comes with a rod and you can reuse your clevis but you mount it lower on the brake pedal arm.

Re: Add power brake booster

I think he is referring to the hold off valve. The proportioning valve is mounted on the frame. Manual brake MC differs from power also. And of course lines differ. But basically the conversion is a piece of cake.

Re: Add power brake booster

The kits from Matt's (Right Stuff) use a combo unit so the distribution block and proportioning valve are one unit. I went rear disc as well with their combo unit so the little block on the frame got adiosed.....don't know what they require you do with that if you run disc/drum.
