Brake pedal Popping

I have come across a very odd problem on my 68 Camaro with a 4 speed . About a week ago I noticed everytime I pressed the brake pedal it would pop. I hve inspected everything on the brake pedal, all pivit point and pins, spring return and can not find anything sticking or free play. It is not the brake light switch, I can hold it in and press the pedal and it will stop pop. Does anyone have any suggestion on what it might be. The brake pedal and stopping feels about the same as allways ?????
This car does not have power brakes.

Ralph.

Re: Brake pedal Popping

Yes, just about the time I apply pressure to the brake pedal it pops ( noise )The odd thing about it, it does not make the noise everytime, but it does it most of the time. It's like something is sticking and them pops loose and makes the noise.
