69 steering col interchange

years ago my buddy and i put a floor shift tilt colum from a 77 olds cutlass in a 69 camaro. i remember it fitting perfectly, we had to use the 69 ignition switch and the 69 rag joint/coupler. there may have been more little items but those are all i remember. did i have my head up my arse, or was i dreaming all this, or will that swap actualy work? my new 69 was a col shift car now it has a consol so i want to swap colums and i thought i would ad a tilt. thanks
