Are rear-end 'bump stops' needed with DSE QuadraLink ?

I don't know what the right term is for the large rubber bumpers that are bolted to the frame rails above the axles. When I put in my DSE Quadra-Link, they were removed. I now found that my rear brake flex line, ie the cross over from the floor pan to the T that I put on my rear-end has been smashed due to the travel.

I found this problem when I recently upgraded to 250# rear springs as I didn't like the way my car was sitting (I wanted the rear up a bit). I have an older model of the Quadralink that came with 200# springs. So I don't know if there should be some stopper just in case or do the shocks and springs do the final stop. I'm curious how much room one should have between the topmost portion of the rearend housing and the heavy 'C' channel that get put in the trunk floor ?

Or is my problem going to be minimized with the 250# springs.

Thanks for any suggestions.
