does anyone have Step by Step Directions Rear End Swap

hey guys; im probably going to install a moser rearend into my 69; it currently has a factory 12 bolt in it.

does anybody have any step by step direction on how to remove and install the new rear? i took traction bars off one of my old cars last time and my dad almost killed me; it was not fun.

There are 2 very good detailed threads, one 1 month old and another about 6 months.

We sell a ton of Mosers to do it your selfers. No danger in the install, requires only basic hand tools. There is no tension on the rear as long as you have the vehicle supported correctly.

Put the car on 4 jack stands under the rockers or frame rails in front of the front leaf spring eye and somewhere near the front of the rocker and make sure the car is steady. Set it just high enough to get the tires off the ground.

Remove the tires
Remove the shocks at the rear
Remove the E Brake cables, there is a Mickey mouse ear retainer at the end of each cable coming from the rear into the body
Remove the brake line at the body where it goes into the flex hose
Remove the clip holding the flex hose at the end near the body
Remove the lower leaf spring perch plates
Call you biggest strongest friend
Pick it up and move it left (or right)
Drop the one side between the springs and pull it out

Take a beer break

Transfer the brakes and brake lines to the new rear.
Reverse the order above
