hydraboost problems

i've had a very hard time getting my hydraboost working properly.

I have a escalade booster
wilwood master
4 wheel disc
rear proportioning valve

I have been bleeding the power steering all day today and it seems like I finally got some type of pressure at the pedal when the engine is off, but the second i start the engine everything goes wacky. I get pedal kickback, weird noises, the engine sees a lot of load and wants to die, and the pedal will go all the way to the floor with no pressure or not retract fully. The master was bench bled, and the brakes have been bled many times.

any ideas?

Re: hydraboost problems

The pedal kickback and weird noises sound normal to me - that went away on mine within the first couple hunded miles as air bled its way out of the system. The pedal going to the floor sounds like you still have air in the brake system. I'd pull the MC back off and bench bleed it again with solid plugs installed in the outlet ports. Then bleed the system as usual.

Re: hydraboost problems

The engine seeing that much load is not right. Keep the reservoir topped up. Is it a new pump? Works best for me when you can bleed brakes with 2 people. Takes a while to get the all the air out.
