69 Disc Spindle - Which is R or L

I took my disc brake spindles off my 69 to detail them and now I got them mixed up. How do you tell the right from left? I can't find a part number on them and they look exactly the same. All the catalogs show right & left spindles so there must be a difference.

Thanks for any help.

The spindles are the same. Doesnt matter which side you use them on.

Ja -- 67-69 camaro stock spindles are the same L to R and have bolt-on steering arms. Most aftermarket lowering spindles (as well as the 2nd gen spindles) have the steering arms cast-in, so there's a L and R side on them...

Thanks to the both of you for the reply. This would have drove me crazy. I wonder why the catalogs list them as seperate.

Thanks again,
Clint

Re: 69 Disc Spindle - Which is R or L

The reason they list them different is because there is a difference between a drum brake spindle and a disc brake spindle.

If they are assembled with calipers & steering arms, a "Knuckle Assembly" the caliper & steering arm goes to the rear.

Check my web page for First Gen Camaro suspension info:
