Match up the new column connector with the dash connector and the old column connector.
If colors don't match, then I would say the column connector wires have to be changed.
You can use a straightened small paper clip to release the lock pin for removing the pins.
The left picture showing a flat connector to semi-round connector is an adapter, a-a, b-b, c-c, etc. Whether it would be for a column shift, I have not a clue.
