Coil spring insluators

I am getting ready to replace my old coil springs in my 1969 Camaro. Do I need the coil spring insulators or not. Thanks, Jerod

Re: Coil spring insluators

They're supposed to help with the squeaks and groans of metal to metal contact....I left them out and do get a few here and there.... but not too often (and she is pushing mid-40's ) My trucks is an '05 and gets them too LOL

Re: Coil spring insluators

I don't have any on my 67 and it doesn't make any noise whatsoever.

Don't know about 69 but, coil spring insulators are not even in the 67 AIM.

Re: Coil spring insluators

I replaced my 69 coils, didn't use isolators and don't have any squeeks. I did clean and paint both areas where the springs seat.

Re: Coil spring insluators

That is what I was thinking, just going thru everything so when I order all the stuff, I have it all and do not have to wait for something to get here. I will not use the insulators, as they were not on all cars. Thanks, Jerod
