Sway bar links after lowering

I've lowered the front on my 68' about 2". From what I've read ideally the sway bar ends should be parallel to the ground when installed. If I do that there's about 1.5" between control arm and sway bar end. Not enough room. So how long are you making your end links. Pictures would be great.

Cut mine down to 1 1/2". Car has 3" drop springs. Also cut down the bump stops some.
