control arms

Can control arms go bad???if so how do i detect if control arm is bad???they are all off the car

Can they go bad? no. Can they be damaged? yes. Bushing and the like go bad. If you suspect the control arms are no longer good check for cracks, especially around welds.

The lower control arm carries a lot of load. Check the bent down flanges front & rear in the middle of the arm, the area in line with the spring seat.

I've had Chevelle Lowers Break, so yes they can go Bad. Check Welds and the Area around the Ball Joint
