Steering Column Install

I'm finally in a situation to start working on my car again after a year. When I left it, I had taken the steering column out and painted it and the dash. I am now ready to put the steering column, instrument cluster, ductwork, etc. back in the car. Is there any particular order I should do this in to make it easier. Also, any recommendations on replacing anything on the steering column before reinstalling it? BTW..1969 standard column.

Thanks

Re: Steering Column Install

I would think doing the ductwork, instrument cluster, and then the column would be last.

Re: Steering Column Install

Hey Kyle I asked the same question in this post while ago and got these replies. Also go to the CRG site. It has a great section of the assembly process. A must read.

Re: Steering Column Install

Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for. Any suggestions on replacing anything on the steering column while it's out?
