booster to brake pedal fit

I have picked up and installed my power disc brake conversion kit, mostly all has fit correctly and just about done. One issue though, I went to hook up the booster rod to the top hole of the brake pedal, or tried, the rod is so long it hits the back of the pedal and you can't hook it up. I don't think it would go to the bottom hole as it would put I think a lot of angle on the rod, then you would also have to make up a bracket to hold the spring return. My question is,do you sometimes have to cut down the rod to give it the room it needs? or is it not maybe the right booster for the camaro?

Thanks

Re: booster to brake pedal fit

Tony, if you are installing a POWER brake set up, you should be using the lower hole. The return spring is for manual brakes only. Some of the booster rods are adjustable. There are a lot of threads on this if doing a search on this site.

Thanks, It just didn't look right. Also I didn't know that you did not need the spring. Did another search, wording it different and came up with more info. Thanks for the help.
Best part is I have a GM assembly book and did not look at it. DUH!!
