67 camaro steering column support braket

so getting ready to install steering column back in the car and I have three support rods. 2 are almost identical except one is a little longer than the other and the third is very different and mounts to back. so my question is of the 2 brackets one being approx. 1/4 longer and very similar which one mounts to the drivers side and which mounts to passengers side. they have been painted and no other color exist except black, I have checked the aim manual it gives a part number...no part number on the rods and I have searched the site. thanks

aim A3

support inner rear-orange
support outer- white
support inner- front

Re: 67 camaro steering column support braket

I would assume the short one is the one that is bolted with the rod coming from the back of the steering column?

The AIM illustration shows the passenger side, the RH side, uses the shorter rod because it is on top the rear rod. Self explanatory upon assembly. Don't forget the wedge in the rear.

Well I viewed it 76 times, just didn't know the answer. Just didn't want you to think no one was looking at your post.

Re: 67 camaro steering column support braket

just verified with another 67 Camaro. the longer rod actually goes on the passenger side and the shorter rod goes on the driver side.
