I have read so spring posts that I am beginning to forget what I have read. I have a 69 RS/SS with power disk brakes and A/C and I am getting ready to rebuild my front end while it is out of the car. I am going to go with the Performance Suspension polygraphite kit. 1" sway bar, and some new front coils. I would like to lower the front about an 1" or so. I read a post that said 6308s would lower it about this much and not have to worry about cutting coils. Has anybody else did this? What did it do? I considered Eibach but there has been more than a few posts that said they did not fit well. I would like to have a greater than factory spring rate(327?) but less than Hotchkis(and really dont want 2 " lower). Anybody have any ideas or thoughts or maybe a set of these springs or others that lower about that much and want to get rid of? I would like to put them in and be done with it. Not have to cut and fit to get them in the spring pockets. A mechanic I am not.

Sounds good to me. With the air cond you have, I'm not sure the ride height will be high as you want.
You can shim them with a plastic coil spacer that is available, but it will make a jump in height due to the thickness of it.

Where do you get a spacer and where does it fit? Do you think it will lower it closer to 2" with the A/C? I forgot to note before that it has a 350 in it. What would Global West Springs do?

Remember that your front end is probably lower now than with brand new coils. I installed new Hotchkis springs and it looks about the same as before !
