Question

Hello,I have a 67 chevelle parts car with a newer front suspension on it (balljoints, bushings, disc brakes, etc)could I swap the A frames and everything onto my 67 camaro?I realize I need to use the steering knuckles from the camaro, but are the a-frames the same? Also if I swap the pitman arm could I use the manual steering box and center link from the same car. Thanks,Rob

The chevelle uses a movealbe joint on the center link, this makes the center link a wearable item on the chevelle. The camaro on the other hand probably has the same center link as it left the factory with since only the pitman arm gets changed. I would say that that a-arms and the knuckle would work with the correct camaro knuckle arm. Idler, pitman arm would be different as would centerlink.

Take a look at the parts from each car. One is front steer and the other rear steer. I think only the spindles and steering box will interchange.

Thanks for the replies,I wanted to use as much as I could from the chevelle because it was all rebuilt.I'm planning on using the steering arm from the camaro on the chevelle box and switching the knuckles on the spindles from front to rear steer.I'll buy a new centerlink also. thanks again,Rob
